“A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, ‘Give Me a drink.’” — John 4:7 (NKJV)
⭐ The Moment Nobody Expected
John 4:7 shows something radical: Jesus speaks first. Before the woman explains her story, before she proves anything, before she even knows who He is — He initiates. She came to the well at a time she could avoid people, but Jesus stepped directly into that moment. Just like the Shepherd who goes after the one who feels lost (Luke 15:4–7), He meets her in the place she hoped no one would notice.
⭐ Grace Moves First
Many people know what it feels like to be labeled, misunderstood, or quietly pushed aside. But Jesus doesn’t wait for the polished version of you. He steps toward the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and speaks first — not to expose you, but to free you.
⭐ Your “Well”
Everyone has a place they avoid with God — a habit, a memory, a fear, a part of themselves they’d rather not face, just like Adam hiding in the garden (Genesis 3:8–9). But the well is where Jesus waits, the same way He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10).
⭐ Your Move
Name one “well” you’ve been avoiding — a place you pull back from God out of fear or unworthiness — and invite Jesus into it.

Jesus, meet me in the places I avoid. Help me trust that You see me fully and still draw near. Break the shame that keeps me distant, and teach me to receive Your love without fear. Amen.
