⭐ Strength Found in Safety

Being chosen by God is powerful—but for new believers, it can also feel unsettling. You’ve said “yes” to Jesus, and suddenly everything feels uncovered. You’re learning how to trust Him, obey Him, and follow Him in real time. Somewhere in the back of your mind, the questions whisper: What if I mess this up? What if I’m not strong enough to keep going?

That’s exactly where this verse meets you. In Bible times, a strong tower wasn’t a symbol—it was survival. When danger rose, people didn’t wait until they felt brave. They didn’t rehearse a plan. They ran—because the tower was built to do what they couldn’t. Scripture says the righteous do the same, not because they’re confident or seasoned, but because God is.

⭐ Running Toward the One

When the Bible speaks of God’s Name, it speaks of His character—faithful, steady, present, and unchanging. You’re not running to a rulebook or a feeling. You’re running to the One whose nature has never shifted.

I live this verse daily—in everyday conversations and in youth ministry —feeling unqualified, struggling to speak up, and battling the same fear Moses had of not being eloquent. My words don’t always feel polished or “enough,” but that weakness keeps me running to the One who strengthens me.

And notice this: the verse doesn’t say the righteous stand strong. It says they run. Running to God isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. It’s choosing trust over pretending you have everything under control. If you were chosen by Him, you’re also kept by Him, and His strength is where your safety comes from. You don’t need to grow stronger before you run to God. Running to Him is how you grow.

⭐ Choosing to Run

Running to God today may look like surrendering a fear, admitting you don’t have the answers, or choosing prayer before panic. It may look like pausing long enough to remember that safety isn’t found in your strength—it’s found in His Name.

Lord, thank You for choosing me and for being my refuge. When I feel unsure or overwhelmed, remind me that I’m safe in who You are. Teach me to run to You quickly and trust Your strength more than my own. Amen.
