God Redirects You

A roadblock isn’t failure — it’s information.

📖 “…He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens” — Revelation 3:7 (NKJV)

⭐ Closed With Purpose

Revelation 3:7 centers us on Christ’s authority. Before it speaks to our circumstances, it speaks to who He is — the One who governs access, opportunity, and timing. When He opens a door, nothing can block it. And when He shuts a door, nothing can force it open.

This means the roadblocks you face are not outside His sovereignty. Scripture shows us that not every closed door comes with an explanation:

Some protect (Psalm 37:23–24).
Some redirect (Proverbs 16:9).
Some remind us that God sees what we cannot.

A closed door may be God’s protection, or it may simply be something He hasn’t explained yet. What we can trust is that Christ’s authority over the door is never accidental, even when the reason is hidden.

⭐ The Marker

You’ve had moments where you pushed, planned, and prayed, and still nothing moved. The job that never called back. The opportunity that faded. The timing that fell apart. You wondered, “What did I do wrong?”

But what if the roadblock wasn’t a rejection — it was a revelation? What if the closed door was a marker — a quiet indication that something about this direction needs your attention?

God often leads through limitation. In Acts 16:6–7, Paul was “forbidden” and “not permitted” — not because he failed, but because God was redirecting him. You’re not being stopped; you’re being steadied. God’s “no” can become a map. The block may be the marker that nudges you toward the path you wouldn’t have chosen but absolutely need.

⭐ Pay Attention to the Signal

Instead of forcing what God has closed, pause and ask: “What might this roadblock be signaling?”

Let the closed door become space to listen.
Let the boundary become clarity (Psalm 32:8).
Let the “no” become a moment to remain open to God’s next step.

Trust that the God who shuts doors also opens them — in His timing, for His purpose, and for your good (Romans 8:28). Not every closure will make sense immediately, but every closure rests under Christ’s authority.

[ ] How might God be protecting or redirecting you through this closed door?

[ ] What new direction might this roadblock be signaling?

[ ] What would it look like to stop forcing and start listening?

Lord, thank You for being the God who opens and closes doors with purpose. Help me see roadblocks as direction, not defeat. Give me wisdom to recognize Your boundaries, courage to follow Your rerouting, and trust to believe that every closed door rests under Your authority. Amen.
